Dear LA Gumbo Chapter Members and Friends:
Below is a list of dancing opportunities for dates between Friday May 23rd through May 30th. Also, below are notices of USA Dance LA Gumbo Chapter 5031 special events and I'm attaching other information of interest. As you wind up to a big Memorial Day holiday weekend you can find lots of dancing with which to finish off hot nights.
We had a good turnout for our first Tango Dance lesson last Monday. We will not meet this Monday, May 26th. Lessons will resume Monday, June 2nd at 7:00 p.m. You can still join in the lesson since we are charging on a per lesson basis. See the attached flyer, METAIRIE TANGO DANCE FLYER May-083.pdf.
Tonight Club Silhouette will treat us to a special Friday "Ballroom Dance Night" starting at 8:00p.m. for only $5. We danced there to Rocky's Hot Fox Trot Orchestra last Friday. Encore plays there next Friday night. We want to thank Elaine for all of these nights!

Our sister USA Dance Pontchartrain Chapter continues offering of dance lessons on Saturdays. The next being May 24th., Ballroom - Latin - Argentine Tango Dance Classes with Percell St. Thomass - 1:00 - Ballroom Foxtrot - 2:00 - Latin Cha Cha - 3:30-5:00 - Argentine Tango (Special 1.5 hour class) - $10 per class - Dancers of all levels are welcome! - Galloway's Studio of Dance, 3191 Terrace Ave. Slidell, LA. 601-467-4062, shellie@tangomississippi.com.
