Dance, Music and Movement have been integral parts of Scott Lappin¢s entire life. While earning his B.A in music and minor in psychology at Macalester College in MN, Scott was actively involved in dance and theater. Additionally, Scott has a background in Alexander Technique, Yoga and has studied a variety of dance styles including: Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Ethnic, Middle Eastern, Aerobics and Funk.
Scott¢s professional foundation lies in the Ballroom Arts, where he has enthusiastically coached and performed for 25 years. He is a professional competitor on the national level, in both American Smooth and American Rhythm. Scott has trained with such legendary coaches as World Latin Champion Sam Sodano, Victor Veyresset, David Hamilton, David Kloss and Pierre Dulaine, to mention a few. He is currently a member of the National Dance Council of America and the Professional Federation of Dancers.
Currently Scott teaches, coaches and competes regularly with his students. He has also used his extensive dance background and people skills to develop a powerful workshop series called The Moving Edge. This series is designed for the dancers who desires to improve their dancing ability with an understanding of body movement and isolation, as well as the knowledge of how to combine this into your dancing.
Whether you are a competitive or social dancer not only will you look better, but you will also feel better.
